Road to $1M ARR day 29/60: one day at a time

no new deals, just reps

Day 28 of the $1M ARR sprint.

Today was one of those days where you just do the work. Nothing spectacular. No fireworks. Just reps.

Woke up, answered client needs, talked with the team, sent follow-ups. Finalized some heavy work i needed to get done.

The kind of day that doesn’t make for exciting LinkedIn posts but actually moves the business forward.

Entrepreneurship is wild when you think about it. One day you’re convinced you’re building the next unicorn.

Next day you’re questioning every decision you’ve ever made. And then you have days like today… where you just execute.

I’ve learned to cherish these days. Accept that velocity isn’t always linear. Some days are just about shutting up and getting the work done.

There’s one thing that’s been keeping me sane through all of this: writing.

Not polished content. Not strategic documents. Just raw thoughts flowing from brain to keyboard.

Been doing this for years, just letting one thought lead to another. This newsletter is basically that habit gone public.

Writing liberates the brain in ways I can’t explain. It’s become my way of processing what’s happening, what needs to happen, and how to bridge the gap.

So to make sure today wasn’t completely static, I grabbed pen and paper and mapped tomorrow.

Two prospect calls scheduled, morning and afternoon. Could just show up and wing it. But that’s not how you close deals at our velocity.

Instead, I’m spending the next 45 minutes on two specific actions:

Action 1 → Creating visual flows for a new playbook I’ve been developing. Could become a standalone product eventually, but tomorrow I’m positioning it as a service for one of these prospects.

Action 2 → Sharpening my thesis 2.0 pitch. The story needs to be tighter. The value prop clearer. Every word counts when you’re trying to close fast.

Small actions. 45 minutes total. But the difference between a productive call and a wasted one.

This is the unsexy reality of building to $1M ARR and a business in general. Not every day brings new signatures or viral posts.

Most days are just about maintaining momentum when nothing feels particularly momentous.

But compound these quiet days and you hit targets that seemed impossible.

Tomorrow’s calls could change everything. Or they could be another step forward.

Either way, I’ll be ready because I did the prep today.

ARR: $681K → Target: $1M | Days remaining: 31

See you tomorrow 👊
