Road to $1M ARR day 44/60: + $77k in ARR
New client. VC lunch. FULL PIPEEE
$77K in new ARR. And i wasn’t even the one who closed the deal.
Alvaro closed it. Five months working on the sideline with us, shadowing, absorbing our playbook. November is his second full time month.
Today he stepped up and proved something massive: sales at Earleads doesn’t have to be owned just by me anymore.
Well done Alvaro. That’s just the beginning of your journey at Earleads.
Moving from founder-led sales to team-led sales or partner-led sales is a challenge for most companies. We just proved our value proposition is CRAZY LIT when someone else can sell it as effectively as me.

My assumption is sales 70-80% of sales will still rely on me for a while. But the shift is happening.
My new role splits into two clear lanes:
Creating top of funnel opportunities → Driving people to book calls through content and partnerships.
Very important big ACV deals only → The strategic intros from existing clients. The inbound on my LinkedIn from opportunities we can’t miss.
We’ve standardized our sales playbook. Now it’s time to scale input (booked calls) and output (closed deals).
Alvaro deserves this win. Five months of learning, waiting, preparing. i am so happy and proud to see him get this first deal.

Yesterday’s happy hour was amazing in so many ways.
My friend who organized it is amazing. Kept introducing me to people and praising me and the crazy challenge i am doing.
New Yorkers are something else. i am in love with their mindset. Open to discuss, chatty, interesting, outgoing, and THEY ALL HAVE A STORY TO TELL.
How to standout when you have 1-minute to make yourself interesting enough? Since it was a GTM happy hour, i had to make use of the challenge. My pitch was simple:
“Came to New York City as part of my challenge to scale my AI GTM agency to $1M in ARR. Landed 22 days ago at $620K. Now at $820K+.”
(well today we’re passed that)
That’s how i hooked them. Made myself interesting enough to have a conversation.
One thing where i need to improve though: conversational chatty chatty English. i would give myself a 6.5/10 here.
Sometimes i was looking for the right words, not natural enough. Happy to have identified an improvement area. i am all in for that.
My friend told me he wants to be the client that closes the challenge. Thank you John (he reads this everyday as well). i highly appreciate it.

Three other updates (and sorry for the length of this one, i had soooo many things to share):
1)One of our clients will downsize our current deal.
They’re going through team restructuring and new fundraising. It’s fine. Small adjustment. The pipe has never been this crispy.
2)Sent 2 proposals today. Have 2 new leads who reached out this afternoon.
3)Had lunch with a VC we’ve helped their portfolio startups with GTM. They will add us to their website as THE partner for GTM and introduce us to new portfolio companies next week.

Crazy past 48 hours. Crazy last 44 days. Crazy life.
Honestly, one thing keeps circling back in my head. Can’t wait to meet the whole team face to face to celebrate whatever stage we’re at at the end of the challenge.
Because today proved we’re building something bigger than just me. A machine that scales. A team that closes. A value prop so strong it sells itself.
That’s the real win.
ARR: $892K → Target: $1M | Days remaining: 16
