Road to $1M ARR day 15/60: made the same mistake twice...

and forgot to add a link yesterday (your boy needs a full night of sleep)

Day 15 of the $1M ARR sprint. 1/4 of the challenge is done.
And before i forget again, here’s the guide on website de anonymization, check it here.

So about the daily update. Made the same dumb mistake. Twice.

Five months ago i hosted a GTM engineering workshop. 70 people registered. 20 showed up. Google Meet killed it.

People forget, life happens, end-of-day meetings lose to drinks with friends.

So i told myself “next time linkedIn live event”. Wrote it down. Made a note.

Yet again went full execution mode, posted about a new workshop, ran the ads. Got 30 interested. 15 confirmed. 7 showed up.

Google Meet. Again.

i’m an idiot.

But this had an upside. Those 7 people got an intimate session. i rehearsed the pitch, refined the messaging and know i won’t make this mistake ever again.

So i am planning to host another workshop in 10 days. End of month timing. LinkedIn Live this time (for real).

My lesson here is to document my mistakes, and actually read the documentation lmfao.

Basic stuff. Yet here we are.

So about the podcast debate/discussion. Went amazing. Also made me realize Founders by Earleads podcast needs a pivot.

My orignal concept was to interview founders going from zero to one in all industries.

It was a nice idea but i my gut feeling is telling me this format i recorded this morning is gonna work way better.

And to be fair i also enjoyed it more (surely because my ego felt flattered to speak 50% of the time and not just ask questions…)

So what about the new direction? debates and discussions about GTM and tech sales.

Bring on founders, founding team members, exceptional salespeople, GTM engineers, agency owners.

People who can actually debate and share playbooks.

The initial strategy was using the podcast to warm up prospects. but i don’t wanna use it as a conversion tool. i need it as a value creation machine for the community.

My original hypothesis was overcomplicated. This feels more like me.

Tomorrow’s loaded. Five prospect calls scheduled. Plus i’m the prospect for a friend’s agency. Need to streamline some operations we don’t have bandwidth for internally.

Smart founders (i like to think i am one of them but challenge me if i’m not lmfao) know when to outsource.

The team’s time is focused on client delivery and improving some systems we can’t outsource.

My approach to delegation has always been the same: preserve what makes money, outsource what enables it.

Good day. Lot of work. Lot of learnings. Lot of results for our clients.

Closing this one at 11:30pm. Outch…

Onto the next.

ARR: $622K → Target: $1M | Days remaining: 45

See you tomorrow 👊
