Road to $1M ARR day 37/60: am i dreaming?

Day 37 of the $1M ARR sprint.

Closed another $30K in ARR today. And before you @ me about “small deals,” this one’s different.

I started talking to this founder 14 months ago. Fourteen. Months. Reconnected 3 months back, and today he finally pulled the trigger.

He’s pre-fundraising, pre-revenue, pre-MVP. Basically pre-everything except vision.

What sealed it? He wants a GTM team to map his ICP sub-segments (consultancy style) and run a hyper-targeted test with 600-800 qualified prospects.

If that works, full scope collaboration starts in January when MVP is ready to go (so way bigger possible deal ahead).

This is exactly the kind of strategic patience that compounds. Plant seeds, water occasionally, harvest when ready.

Did some pipe math today and i am super excited.

$240K in additional ARR sitting in sent proposals.

If everyone says yes (they won’t), we’d demolish this challenge. But even at a 50% close rate, we’re tracking.

Half should answer next week. The other half the week after.

Plus 6 prospect calls next week. If they all want proposals, that’s another potential $300K in ARR.

The math is actually mathing for the first time in this challenge and i don’t know what to think.

Proposals aren’t revenue. Conversations aren’t contracts.

I’ve been here before. Big pipeline energy followed by crickets and “we’ll circle back in Q1.”

So this weekend, I’m doing three things:

  1. Audit every current account for December churn risk (personally see none, but paranoia keeps you sharp)

  2. Map exactly what moves these open opportunities from “interested” to “invoice paid”

  3. Build contingency plans for when (not if) some of these deals push to 2026

The difference between $765K and $1M is execution on existing opportunities, not creating new ones.

What’s wild is 14 months ago when I first spoke to today’s new client, Earleads was a different company. We were doing basic LinkedIn ghostwriting and ads.

Now we’re mapping ICP sub-segments and orchestrating full-stack GTM motions.

Growth compounds in weird ways. Sometimes the best deals are the ones that marinate.
